New Year New Look!
Or should I say, “out with the old and in with the new.”
I needed refreshing and so did the website, the videos, and the YouTube channel.
I found my favorite colors. Vibrant orange and purple with splashes of pink and blue in the form of “liquid smoke”. The colors cheer me up.
The colors were the easy part. Writing a succinct explanation about The Modest Economist was more of a challenge. I am happy with the result. Continue to scroll down on the Home Page (before you login ) and you will see the following:
It was time to simplify.
There is more to the fresh look though. What I am really excited about are changes we have made within the website.
When you login you will see a new Membership Dashboard. If you click on “Investment Articles” or “Monthly Insights” on the top bar, you will see a “Click Here” to sort all the articles by category.
So much easier than trying to scroll through all the articles. I am amazed to say there are now over one hundred articles to choose from.
We have cleaned up the sidebar and I have “retired” a few categories I never got traction on.
Don’t forget about Favorite Things. I like things that serve a purpose. We have added “Socks.” Not just any socks. The link will take you to the Home Page of Bombas.
Bombas donates one piece of clothing or pair of socks for each item you buy. And I do love and wear their socks !

Maybe one day I will go “retail” with The Modest Economist merchandise, but I’m not there yet.
We have updated the YouTube channel site.
We have added a couple of slides to my recent videos so the website, the YouTube channel and the videos have the same look and feel.
In other words, my attempt at branding.
We are going to send out reminder notices about a month before your subscription is ready to renew. Something we should have done long ago but hey, we are still small potatoes, so everything takes longer.
On the subscription front and as an added *BONUS* we are extending everyone’s subscription by 6 months.

Here we are almost 5 years later, I can hardly believe it.
